The National Enquirer and Showbiz Spy report the 78-year-old screen legend began experiencing discomfort on Tuesday, and is now fighting for her life in the Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Doctors reportedly suspect she is suffering internal bleeding and sources are quoted as describing her as "very sick".
Taylor has battled poor health for years and is frequently seen in a wheelchair when in public.
